The thing that I have purchased that I have never used would probably be my pumas. They are nice shoes and I wore them all the time for like a couple weeks. Then gradually I wore them less and finally not at all.

Final days

Right now we are in the final days of my senior year this is such a weird feeling. Knowing that I may never see some of my classmates ever again. It's hard to realize after I think about all the memories growing up. These people are the friends that I've been with for 12 years of my life and now they may just up and disappear. The thing I'll probably miss the most is spending time with these friends weather it be hanging out in the hallways or goofing off in class. I gonna miss each and everyone of them.

Swine flu and exercise equipment

The Quincy YMCA is taking major precautions to help prevent the spread of swine flu. This includes wiping down machines after use and washing hands after using weights. This is great I think this cannot be enforced enough and should be kept up even if the swine flu slows down.

Senior Trip!!!

So we have 4 days or two school days till out senior trip. I am so excited it is gonna be so much fun. I have been waiting for a long time. Andrew and I may get tatoos while we are down there.

Japanese Diet

I think it's interesting that the Japanese are starting to have a bad diet. Because they are known for being very healthy and have a long life span. But during this recession they have been eating more cheaply and less healthy. This is a total mirror image of what happened to the U.S. we used to eat more health conscious but convenience and a cheap price tag replaced that.

Cell phone monitoring

Recently there has been new software popping up that will allow parents to monitor a minor's cell phone calls and texts. This software helps protect minors from sexual predators and also helps prevent sexting. Sexting is sending sexually explicit text messages.

Pencasts

I think pencasts are really cool and would make a great addition to any college student. Because if you can't understand anything in your notes then you have a voice recording to back it up. But I do agree with some people it is a technology that we can't use to it's fullest extent yet.

Phishing

Identity theft is a terrible thing and it is mostly caused by guys that are called Phishers. These people send you fake emails from like your bank or paypal. With these they try to get you to realease personal information which they use to steal your identity. This is a form of theft obviously, but it takes a lot of smarts on one end and a large lack of smarts on the other for them to just give out personal information. So make sure to check your emails before you start giving out information.

Twitter Dangers

Scientist say that on twitter people are getting bombarded with social updates, they feel that it messes up the young kids minds. It messes with there mental compass apparently.

Dumb Criminal

I think this is pretty funny actually. Who in their right mind would rob anyone at a police convention? But if that isn't funny when he went to court he said he was smooth.

Twitter

Is twitter the next big thing in social networking? I think it could be except the lack of features available. It is used by congressmen, celebrities and teens.

Facebook as Guidence Counselor

Facebook is being used to see what students think about colleges and what colleges that have gotten into. Personally I think this is a great way for students to find out what colleges are like and what campus life is like before they commit to a school. Cause this is a big decision and you are going to want to pick a school that you like along with getting a good education.

biodegradable gum

Mexico released the first ever biodegradable chewing gum recently. I think it is a great thing because that is just one more thing to help our environment. Especially in Britain the article we read says that they have gum on sixty five percent of their streets so the ideas is more than likely welcome there. Anyway I think it is a great idea and more power to them.

Protests on social networks

In this day and age protesters are using technology for their benefit. They seem to using it much faster than everyone else. Personally I would agree with what they are doing I mean it is a social network so it is free for anyone to use. If that means they are using it to organize protests then more power to them.

Social Networking

I believe that social networking is a good thing. It allows you to talk to people all over the world and share stories, videos, and just common ideas. I belong to a couple of these and I am completely pleased with them. As for money they should be making a decent profit because of the millions of users that are on everyday.

Tabacco tax

I think the tax on tabacco products are completely fair. Tabacco products are a luxury, I would rather these things be taxed then things suck as our food and our gas. Most smokers feel that they are being picked on, but that is because they need an excuse. They don't have to smoke it is a choice, so they can choose to quit.

Friends

Friends do sometimes experience conflict even if they are the best of friends. I believe that this will actually strengthen their relationship. But some of the reasons could be that they have spent to much time together or they have just disagreed on something and I big one could be that they have let a girl or guy come between them.

Topic of Choice

Some days in multimedia we have to do a blog over a topic of choice. Some days it can be pretty easy, but other days it can be kinda hard. Today I figured that I would talk about the topic of choice.

Favorite Game

My favorite game would have to be Gears of War 2. The game is amazing the graphics are top notch they look amazing when you are running around either shooting up the hored or the other team. The point of the game through the story is to defeat the hored, but the multiplayer is way more fun you can do hored mode which 50 wave one after another of enemies. Or there is guardian, warzone, and meatflag.

I google

So today in multimedia we started using this thing called I-google. It is pretty sweet it lets you customize your page with literally hundreds of themes and gadgets. They have tons of gadgets ranging from weather and news to sports and music. They also have tons of sweet themes I have this sweet 3D grafitti one.

NCAA

This last week I have been watching the NCAA March Madness Tournament. It has been really impressive so far. I filled out a bracket and I have actually gotten a lot right but one team that lost is really gonna mess up my whole bracket. But other than that I have been pretty much straight on and I look forward to the rest of the tournament.

Prayer in School

I think that prayer or saying the Pledge of Allegiance is a good thing. The first amendment gives us the freedom of religion. If you aren't religious then don't pray it's your choice, but don't punish everyone for the beliefs of a few.

Recession Proof Jobs

A recession proof job would definitely be anything in entertainment. Like a pro athlete, movie star, or professional musician. These are recession proof because people will always wanted to be entertained and there will always be a need for this service.

Time Capsule

I would go out and get a cheap mp3 player and load it full of music from this generation. Not just on specific genre but like rap, pop, metal, rock, and hip hop. Cause I think music would be a great thing to put in there because in a hundred years music would have a huge change. I think it would be cool to let the people of the future know what we listened to.

St. Patty's Day

St. Patricks Day is celebrated because of the death of the patron saint of Ireland. Patrick converted many of the pagans on Ireland. The island of Ireland has been celebrating him ever since and his fame has spread to other countries as well.

Waterboy

Yesterday I watched the movie Waterboy, it stars Adam Sandler as a socially awkward waterboy who becomes a star college linebacker. This movie is so hilarious the main character Bobby is socially awkward and stutters which makes the character funny. Also the LSU Mud Dogs Coach is scared of his own shadow and his team is a bunch of southern hicks which are like to the extreme.

What makes a good friend

To me what makes a good friend is someone that you can spend time with, share common interests with, and argue one minute with and then be getting along the next. I have that with a couple friends and I would trade them for the world. But a good friend is someone that you can tell things to and not have to tell them not to tell anyone, they just know. To me that is what a good friend is.

why students drop out

There are a few reasons that students drop out of school. One of them being that they hate school so much because they cause so much trouble. Another is that they feel they don't need to complete high school because sometimes like their dad will have a job lined up for them. So they drop out and go straight to work and then are stuck at that job for the rest of their life because they dropped out.

Chiropractor

Last night I went to the chiropractor, because my back had been hurting for a while. I thought that maybe it would get better, but it didn't. So I went and now my back feels amazing, I feel like a new man. Now I wont be hurting after I stand for a while.

Pop Tarts

Pop tarts are freakin amazing! They are a great breakfast that you can take with you on the go. I eat pop tarts like every moring because I never wake up with enough time to eat at my house. But the other day I had the most disgusting pop tarts I have ever had, they were chocolate banana split. They sounded ok, but let me tell you they were freakin gross. But today I have brown sugar pop tarts so I will eat them and actually like it.

End of the Quarter

So this Friday is the end of the quarter and I have a lot of work to do that I don' have done. This is mostly my term paper, I have to have a ruff draft done by tomorrow and a final outline and paper by this Friday. This is a lot of work especially for me because I'm not the greatest at writing papers. So I am probably gonna spend every night this week working on my paper. So this is not gonna be a good week, especially compared to others.

Three day weekend

Well today is friday. Yay! But it is going to be a really fun weekend because we have a long weekend. We have monday off and that is going to be really nice. This weekend my plans are to go to blake's and also I might be able to got to Meredosia and see Kelsea; that would be really nice.

Type of Music

The reason that I listen to the type of music that I do is because metal music has the insane drum parts. Like Dream Theater and Shadows Fall. I love the double bass beats that rattle your chest and create insane rythms.

Education

I think that education is very important. Without an education this planet would be just a bunch of idiots running around in a circle. Without an education we wouldn't have many of the modernizations that we do today. We would practically be living in a world we left behind a long time ago.

Invention

I think the greatest invention ever would have to be the drumset. Because I love to play the drums, also it is a great way for me to vent my anger without hurting myself.

Super Hero

If I could be a super hero my name would be one that strikes fear into the hearts of villians everywhere. Something like Seth..yeah, Seth. My powers would be to fly of course and the ability to run really fast and jump really high, that way all my powers seem useless. Which in battle they would, but the minute they started to run I would have them.

My plans for summer

My plans this year for summer are basically two things. 1 to work and 2 to practice with my band. But i will also be doing other things like going to Warped Tour and also see many other concerts. Also hang with my friends and kelsea. So those are my plans for summer.

Best Book

The best book that I have ever read would have to be The House of the Scorpion. I don't really know why it was my favorite other than I just really liked it. It had a really interesting story and I really got into it so I just read and read which is weird cause normally I never read.

What I would change.

One thing that I would change from the beginning of school would be all the new teachers. I mean I don't really have anything against them, but I liked the older teachers a lot better. Mostly because they had taught me since I was a freshman and you kind of develope a trust kinda thing with teachers that you have had that long. So that's what I would change, if I could change anything.

My weekend

My weekend was OK nothing special really. The homecoming game was a lot of fun I was nominated for homecoming, didn't win anything, but oh well. The rest of the weekend I went hiking with my buddy Joe. Saturday we walked to low waters and then hiked through the woods there and Sunday we hiked down fall creek.

Friday

Well thank goodness today is friday! It is the day of the homecoming game which means i have pep band to night. Gay! But anyway the game will be fun. This morning though I was totally dumb and accidentally brushed right over my stitches when I was brushing my teeth. It hurt badly I thought I was gonna die right there in the bathroom. So yeah today is friday and the game so all in all it will be a good day.

Best vacation

The best vacation that I have ever been on was Monday of this week. We were only gone for like 12 hours but it was the best 12 hours of my life. David, Blake, and I drove up to Peoria to the Civic Center to go see a Slipknot concert. It was freakin amazing I yelled the whole time Slipknot played. The pure awesomeness of this experience has propelled me to visit more concerts like this one. So this May we are going back to see Disturbed and Killswitch Engage.

Super Bowl

This year's Super Bowl was a good game, but was pretty disappointing. Cause I am a Cardinals fan so obviously I was disappointed with the outcome. The Cards played a good game, but their defense was lacking and they had a hard time moving the ball against the Steeler's beastly defense.

Favorite T.V. Show

I would have to say that my favorite tv show would have to be That 70's Show. It is just freakin hilarious because it is about teenage friends in the 70's and it is pretty much stuff that could happen to any teen. So I can kind of relate to it and get a lot of the jokes. Not to mention the over the top parts that just make it funny television.

Global Warming

My views on global warming arent that strong I guess you could say. I don't really worry to much about it since I don't directly feel anyting from it. Global warming is the heating of the earth due to the wholes in the atmosphere. Which in turn causes the melting of the polar ice caps and has been known to cause changes in regulated weather patterns. I can't really say that it exists or not cause as I already said I don't directly feel or see anything that is has caused.

My biggest fear

My biggest fear would have to be hurting myself weightlifting. I mean not like pulling a muscle, but like dropping the bar on my chest and breaking a rib. Or falling when I am squating. I guess that would have to be my biggest fear.

Pep band

So tonight is a home basketball game which means for me pep band. Which this will be my first game because I had to convince myself to take band because I don't get along with the teacher. But none the less it is going to be fun and I love playing in front of the crowd so yeah.

Conversation at Dinner

If I could take anyone to dinner it would have to be Jason Bittner, because he is like my drumming idol. But I wouldn't just talk about drums like how do you practice and warm up. I would just talk about normal stuff like I would with any ordinary person.

5 years from now

In five years from this exact day I think that i will be in a recording studio working on a new ablum with my band. We will probably wake up get some food and start recording. During the day we will order pizza and other food and probably not leave till like midnight or not at all.

Nicest thing

Honestly I don't remember the nicest thing I've ever done. But I try my best to do nice things for people a lot, even if they are just small things like holding open the door and giving them directions. Cause I believe that even the smallest gestures can lead to a world of change.

A rainy day

What I really like to do on a rainy day usually is to make myself a snack and watch a movie. I like to do this because there really isn't much else to do, cause I am a big outside person I love to be outside. But when I can't I like to watch movies although sometimes I do like to play my xbox, but not that often cause I tend to get bored with it.

Animal

If I could be any animal then it would have to be a bird of prey, such as a falcon, hawk, or eagle. Because I would love to have the ability to fly, also I want to be a bird of prey because I don't want to have to fear a greater predator.

Cartoon

My favorite cartoon would have to have been Swat Cats. I always watched that show with my buddy Joe. The action in the show was really awesome back then. Also they had all the cool gadgets and vehicles. Although now when I watch it, it is really corny back then it was like the coolest show ever.

What I want to be famous for

If I could be famous for anything I would want it to be for being a drummer. Not just a drummer who "made it big", but a drummer who developed new techniques and styles. Also I would want to attend and start my own clinics and make dvds to help teach my techniques to those who are just starting and those who are accomplished.
