Braces

Well good news the spacers are out! The bad news I got braces and they do hurt a little bit but fot the most part they don't feel to bad. The mostly just feel weird because I have a bunch of metal in my mouth. Not to mention I have this metal bar in my mouth which is also kind of annoying.

Winter

I personally am not a big fan winter, because of the cold weather. This may not be to surprising coming from a person that typically gets cold very easily. Also I don't get to work as much in the fall/winter so I don't get to make as much money to do things. So basically I just don't really like the cold for many reasons.

My weekend

My weekend was fairly boring to say the least. It mostly consisted of me going to my friends for like the whole weekend. All I really did was do my regular workouts and play guitar hero world tour and resistance 2 fall of man. So hopefully next weekend will be a bit more eventfull.

Spacers

Just recently I have gotten spacers put in my mouth to prepare me for braces. All I can say is that "They SUCK!" I can't hardly eat anything, the things I can eat are pretty much pudding, milkshakes and soup and trust me they get old. I can't wait till I can actually eat something that is kind of filling. Not to mention the constant pain I am in which really is probably the worst part.

Technology for the better.

I would say that technology has definitely made my life better. For instance the Internet makes it easier for me to stay in touch with my friends as well as make it easier to find information for like a school paper. Technology also links us with many other countries around the world, which in turn helps us keep up with current events. That really came in handy during the election this year, because it let us go and research which candidate we like and choose the one we thought was the best.

My one wish.

If I could have one wish it would be to Orange County drums and Percussion. It has shells are made of green acrylic and chrome hardware. It cost about $3000 used and aout $6000 new. And this is for only two toms and a bass drum. So if I had one wish this is what I would want.

My favorite material object.

My favorite material object would have to be my bed, cause I definitely could not live without it.
Because I love getting into my nice warm bed and just falling asleep especially on a cold night. I couldn't sleep on like the hard ground, a couch, or even a recliner. It has to be just me and my bed.

Barack Obama

So as you all know Barack Obama is now the leader of our country. The significance of last night was not only that we now have an African American President, but we also have a very liberal one. Which is a change of pace from all the normally conservative presidents we have had.

In my mind the change can be either good, or bad. Either he will do good for the country or put it further in the hole it is already in. I personally hope the change is for the better, but I guess we will just have to wait and find out.

Election Day

So the day is finally here. The day where everyone casts their vote on who they want as the next leader of the contry. But that is only part of it, there is more importance to the election then just picking the president. It represents the freedom we have as a democracy and the fact that we have the freedom to choose our leader. Also it represents all the freedoms we have such as freedom of speech and the right to picket. So next time you vote really think about what you are voting for.

"America's Dependence on Foreign Oil"

America's dependence on foreign oil is starting to get way out of hand. It is proven that we depend way to much on foreign oil. The NRDC have stated that "$200,000 an hour on foreign oil alone. Also we need to start using technological innovations to reduce this "addiction" on foreign oil.
The U.S. spends loads and loads of money on foreign oil every year roughly $25 billion on Persian Gulf exports alone. Of our $54 billion trade deficit in August $12 billion of it was foreign oil. To stop this expense we should look to more drilling in the states and I know people are against drilling here, but maybe if they realized how much money they would save they might look at it differently.
Also we should be looking for alternative methods to reduce this problem. Companies are working around the clock to find new was to power cars. Also new ways to provide energy for homes and people, such as the large windmills in the plains. Although we have not made a breaking discovery in this field they have made small advancements that will eventually give way to the future. Such as a car that is now being produced that runs on air and a splash of salad oil or a pint of gas. Not only but this car will run on gas, diesel, bio diesel, and vegetable oil. Even running on gas alone it gets 106 miles to the gallon. This car is planned to be distributed directly to consumers in 2011, and will be roughly $20,000.
So this country has a lot to fix with it's dependency on foreign oil. We should find new methods of creating energy. Whether it be for home use or for vehicles. Finally we need to reduce spending on foreign oil and maybe start drilling a little closer to home.
